Thanksgiving Message from the DMS PTA

Dunloggin Middle School Community:

As we approach this Thanksgiving season, we would like to thank the DMS community for all you do for the school.

Our parents/guardians and volunteers help fuel our school’s commitment to provide a quality education to every child, create a feeling of community among our families, encourage diversity, and support our educators as they do one of the most important and difficult jobs in our society.

Through your financial contributions and volunteer efforts we accomplished the following activities so far this year:

  • Annual Fall Festival which was attended by over 220 students this year.
  • Staff appreciation meals during Welcome Back to school and parent teacher conferences.
  • Funded prizes at the annual Turkey Trot - a Dunloggin MS tradition
  • Supported the Skipjack environmental education trips where students learned about Bay history, oyster gardening, the life of a waterman and past, present and future Chesapeake Bay issues.
  • Newseum field trip support
  • Robotics program

Thanks to the schools administrators, teachers and other support staff for supporting the DMS PTA programs and lending a helping hand when needed.  Most importantly, the DMS PTA thanks the school for affording us the opportunity to be so integrally involved in enriching the curriculum and fostering the well-being of our children.

Thank you to the PTA Board of Directors for their dedication to our students and our school.   They have gladly and unwaveringly given their time and efforts to improve the lives of the students and staff for the betterment of our community.

Our next meeting is Monday, December 10 at 7 p.m. in the Media Center.  We welcome all to attend.

We wish you and your family a very safe and Happy Thanksgiving!

Sincerely,

Dunloggin Middle School PTA Executive Committee
Laura, Beth, Lynn, Maria and Melissa.
