May Move Month!
The DMS Physical Education department is teaming up with the DMS PTA to get students active and moving in May 2021 for 21 days. Every week we will post activities for you to explore and try. The challenge is for students to be active for at least 5 days a week. After 4 weeks we will award students who have been active for at least 21 days with a cool gadget with the Dunloggin Dragon featured on it. We would like your feedback on what you have tried after week 1, so we can make more activities that you like. So get your water bottle, stay hydrated, and be active!

Congratulations to DMS Science Teacher, Mr. Blue!
The PTA would like to congratulate one of our outstanding DMS Science teachers, Mr. Blue, on being one of the winners of the Green Difference Awards from Project Green Schools.
In the Outdoor Learning category, Mr. Blue earned an Honorable Mention with the Dunloggin MS Wetland Restoration Project. Way to go, Mr. Blue!!

8th GRADE CELEBRATION!
DMS PTA and 8th grade parents are sponsoring an end of the year celebration for the 8th grade students! This event is for 8th grade students only. Masks are required to attend. The event will be held on June 10th from 6:30pm-8:30pm on the blacktop at DMS. Rain date will be June 11th 6:30pm-8:30pm. Activities include games, music, balloon artist, photo station, Kona ice, raffles and more! In order to hold this event, monetary donations are needed to cover the costs. Tickets are $15. DMS PTA wants to ensure any 8th grade child can attend despite financial concerns. Please enter the promo code DUNLOGGIN if you are unable to pay and the ticket cost will be discounted.
**Note: When paying for your ticket, there is an option to leave a tip. This money covers the cost of using the MemberHub platform. You can change the tip amount to zero if you choose.**

Volunteer Opportunities: We need volunteers to manage games and hand out snacks. Please help make the 8th grade celebration a success and
sign up to volunteer.
Gift Card donations- Donations of $5 gift cards that you think a middle schooler would enjoy (Rita’s, Subway, Target, Amazon, iTunes, Walmart, Dunkin Donuts, Chipotle, Sweet Frog, Movie Tickets, Shake Shack) would be much appreciated as well. Send in your gift cards to the front office in an envelope labeled “8th grade celebration”– We are working hard to collect as many gift cards as possible.
FOOD DONATIONS - Please make a food donation for the 8th grade celebration! Send snacks to school, beginning the week of June 1. Label everything as “8th Grade celebration”. Donations must be pre-packaged foods such as chips (pretzels, Doritos, cheese puffs, popcorn, etc.); desserts (cookies, brownies, cupcakes, etc.); AND water, soda, and juice. SNACK SIGN UP
